If only Wizards of the Coast published a rule book on female anatomy or social graces, we D&D players would be much better off.
I am an unashamed fanboy and this is my blog. If I think its cool, it goes in the blog. I hope to reach a few similarly mutated individuals.

U.S. to transfer $200 million to Palestinians???
I just had to comment on this story from Reuters:
U.S. to transfer $200 million to Palestinians
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The United States plans to transfer $200 million to the struggling Palestinian Authority to help cover its budget shortfall, an Obama administration official said on Friday.
Oh, good thing we can help out with their budget defecit...<*whisper*>just don't tell California.
One US official was quoted:
"We are trying to help the Palestinians to meet a budget shortfall and also we are trying to create the conditions on the ground so that we can move toward peace negotiations,"
So, basically this is a shakedown to stop terrorism? Hmmm, perhaps our West Coast friends could get some of these funds by throwing a few rocks at Arizona and bombing settlements on the California/Nevada border. Sounds like a plan to me.

Torchwood: Children of Earth – Review
This year the entire season of Torchwood consisted of a five part mini-series aired on consecutive nights. The story also takes place during five consecutive days. This new concept was a fantastic fit for the intense and surprising plot of the season. The normally light-hearted streak of Torchwood was nearly nonexistent throughout this particular story, but the writers nailed the characters perfectly. I could really believe that this is how normally cheeky people would react to the dark themes riddling the story.
Without revealing any major spoilers, the Children of Earth could easily have been titled Hard Choices, as each show is peppered with them. And, as one can imagine, hard choices often result in tragic consequences. My biggest fear generated from how the story ended was “will there be anymore Torchwood?”. I really don’t want to give anything away, so I will wrap up the review with two things; a plea for you to see this if you can and a list of adjectives that describe how I felt about this season.
Moving
Riveting
Desolate
Gut-wrenching
Rollicking
Twisted
Dark
That is all, now go find a copy and watch it!

And You Want the Government Running Our Health Care?
The NYPD paid out nearly $1 million to purchase and maintain typewriters because they have not transitioned to computerized systems yet. (link)
Why on Earth would we want the bozos in government to run health care when they can't keep up with technology from the 1990's in 2009?
